We believe that a skilled workforce is key to continued success. We are committed to identifying the training needs of all employees & subcontractors and putting into action a relevant and complete training plan.
 
Equal access to relevant training
All personnel likely to remain with PPL for the duration of the training period will have equal access to relevant training regardless of gender, ethnicity, role and position.
 
Training Fund

PPL have set aside a Training Budget to fund training identified. To demonstrate the value we place on training this budget will be used to for the training of employees and subcontractors.
 
Employing apprentices
The importance of investing in the next generation is embraced. As such, PPL are committed to employing apprentices and supporting them throughout their apprenticeships.


 

Managerial and office based staff
The training needs of all managerial and office based people will be identified by use of a generic Skills Questionnaire along with any other specific areas identified from the individuals Roles and Responsibilities and Objectives. Job-based and developmental training will be in scope. We will encourage people to achieve relevant and suitable qualifications.


CSCS card, CITB Health and Safety Test
PPL require that all site operatives hold a
CSCS card. To that end we are working with Mortimore Enterprises Limited of Liverpool to ensure that all non-accredited operatives pass the CITB Health and Safety Test and register for and be working towards achieving a relevant NVQ level 2 qualifications.
